WKOW Channel 27 out of Madison, WI picked up the story and asked me to come for the Wake Up Wisconsin morning show!
I'm not sure if it was excitement or anxiety that made me feel like I was going to throw up! LOL! I'm pretty sure it was more excitment *wink*. Yes, I am a motivational speaker and have spoken to some large audiences- but this is something different. Live TV scares the bajeeeeezus out of me! My on-stage presentations are rehearsed, carefully planned, slide show and everything. The Wake UP Wisconsin morning show will be a 2-1/2 minute segment - interview style, so I need to be on my game and not stumble over my words and get tongue-tied, which is usually the case when I have to speak and I'm not 100% prepared *blush*.
I'm going to focus on the movement we have created together. That this entire thing has little to do with "me" and more to do with the community of people all the members in the group have built. I have never seen so much engagement in a Facebook group before! The outpouring of love and support is a beautiful thing! I'm seeing the hashtag being used and people are activating the #Kindnessbucketbrigade and the comments and love start pouring in!
This opportunity to talk about The Kindness Bucket Brigade on WKOW Channel 27 is a huge blessing simply to get the word out about what we are trying to accomplish. I hope more people join, especially those who have been bullied. I want them to feel safe in an online community where we speak to one another with nothing but kindness and compassion.
The WKOW Channel 27 Wake Up Wisconsin morning show will be September 9 at approximately 5:55 a.m.
